Xerver Web Server es un servidor web gratis con soporte para HTTP y para los lenguajes CGI, Perl y PHP. Está programado en Java (por lo que funciona en cualquier plataforma) y su interfaz incluye un asistente que nos ayudará a conocer su uso y posibilidades en poco tiempo.

Las posibilidades que ofrece Xerver son muy amplias: crea directorios virtuales, protege carpetas con contraseña, scripts en CGI, Perl o PHP, permite o bloquea determinados tipos de archivo, configura los mensajes de error, opciones de seguridad por doquier, etc.

Xerver Web Server no consume apenas recursos del sistema, ni tampoco afecta en nada al Registro de Windows.
